Explore some sociological theories and perspectives (usually -ism’s); for example ‘What is Marxism?’, ‘What is Feminism?’ or ‘What is Functionalism?’
Use google to find out the basics and then think about how these perspectives might relate to current issues, such as Black Lives Matter, the economy and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Watch…
I, Daniel Blake (Youtube trailer)
Years and Years (BBC iPlayer)
Black Mirror series (Netflix)

Continuing to study over the summer will help you to build on all of the study habits that you have developed over the past couple of years. It’s going to help you with things like being organised, time management and being self-disciplined, which are all essential study habits – no matter what subjects you choose to study next year.
