UoB School Pupil sets up fundraiser in memory of late Grandfather.

Year 10 Pupil Ary has been raising awareness and funds for a charity close to his heart, Wheels to Heal, who provide mobility aids for disabled children and adults in less advantaged countries.

Wheels to Heal, a UK based charity, recycle unwanted and used mobility and disability aids, and gives them a new life. These are then gifted to those in need in countries such as Bangladesh, Iraq, Lebanon, Malawi, and Pakistan to name a few.

Ary is currently training and getting ready to take part in a 5 kilometre sponsored walk, with the intention of raising £10,000 for the charity. “I want to continue my grandfather’s legacy and help children in various poor countries and provide equipment for their mobility and independence.” Ary.

We are very proud of Ary at UoB School. He has shown an abundance of kindness and compassion with this charitable act. It takes great determination and motivation to pursue such a challenge and we wish him all the best!
