Set up your School Gateway

All payments for lunches, trips, textbooks, and more are managed through School Gateway.

Accessing School Gateway

If you have previously used the system, you can access it in one of the following ways:

  • Download the app ‘School Gateway’ on either iOS or Android
  • Google ‘School Gateway’ and visit the link: https://login.schoolgateway.com
  • Or click on ‘Top up lunch money’ link via our school website www.uobschool.org.uk

  3. Read and click the tick box to agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  4. Click ‘Send PIN’. You will receive a pin code via text message.
  5. You can then log in as an ‘Existing User’ with this pin code and your email address.
  • If you ever forget your pin code, click on ‘forgotten your pin’.
  • You can top up the lunch money balance by clicking ‘lunch money’ then ‘top up balance’ then click ‘lunch money’.
  • If you have any issues, please email reception@uobschool.org.uk or telephone 0121 796 5000.

School Lunches

Please ensure that you top up your School Gateway account in time for Monday 07 September if your child would like to purchase food from our canteen. You can access our current menus and prices here.

Free School Meals (FSM)

If you believe your child is eligible for free school meals, you need to make sure that you have applied on the checking service. Follow this link https://apply.cloudforedu.org.uk/ and enter ‘The University of Birmingham School’ in the school name. If you haven’t applied yet, please do so now. In the meantime, please ensure that there are sufficient funds in your School Gateway account to pay for your child’s lunches. If eligibility for free school meals is confirmed, a credit will be applied to your account. Please note that the allowance for free school meals is £2.85 per day. If your child would like to purchase items over the £2.85 allowance, you will need to ensure there are sufficient funds in your School Gateway account.
