Pupils were inspired during an event at the Walsall Bescot Stadium where they met and learnt from the England U21 Women’s Football Team.
The day began with pupils stepping out onto the pitch, an experience that many young footballers dream of! They were given the unique chance to be interviewed on the field, allowing them to share their thoughts and excitement about the day’s events.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly watching the England U21 Women’s team play. The match exemplified the high level of skill, teamwork, and dedication required to compete at an elite level. Pupils were able to witness first-hand the intensity and passion of top-level women’s football, fostering a deeper appreciation for the sport and inspiring many to pursue their own athletic endeavours.
After the match, pupils met the players, asking questions and learning about their journeys and challenges in reaching the national team level. The players were gracious and welcoming, providing autographs and posing for photographs, leaving a lasting impression!
