Students celebrate A level success

University of Birmingham School Sixth Form students are celebrating their A level results today. We fully recognise the recent challenges for us all and the results are testament to the dedication and commitment students have shown, not only in the past few months, but throughout their two years here at the Sixth Form. Their resilience and determination has ensured progression to pathways into higher education and employment.

“I hold admiration for our students, for their personal growth, and for their academic awards today, achieved at a time of such national turbulence”, remarks The University School’s Principal, Mr Colin Townsend. “I also thank our parents, carers, and families for their partnership with the School and thank the School’s staff for supporting and encouraging our learners to continue to achieve their personal bests irrespective of such testing obstacles – optimism and a ‘can do’ mind-set are both powerful and purposeful.”

“We are incredibly proud of all our Sixth Form students. They have worked extremely hard for two years and fully deserve the impressive grades they have received today. We are excited for them as they embark on the next steps in their educational journey – for many, this will be at Universities throughout the country with a significant number going on to study at Russell Group Universities, including the University of Birmingham.” Mr Liam Dwyer, Assistant Vice Principal – Sixth Form.

We would like to congratulate all of our students and wish them the very best in their next steps beyond the University of Birmingham School Sixth Form.
